Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-03-17T11:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2025-03-17T11:36:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Source Location: N12W30
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: Faint CME first seen to the west in SOHO LASCO C2 starting at 2025-03-17T11:36Z. Also seen to the west in SOHO LASCO C3 but not visible in STEREO A COR2A imagery (where it would be near center disk from the perspective of STEREO A). The source of this CME is likely a small filament eruption centered around N12W30 which starts around 2025-03-17T10:36Z and is best seen in SDO AIA 304.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Approximate one-coronagraph analysis with SOHO imagery only since the CME is not in STEREO A COR2A imagery (where it would be near center disk from the perspective of STEREO A). Analysis is based on the assumption that the source of this CME is a small filament eruption centered around N12W30 which starts around 2025-03-17T10:36Z and is best seen in SDO AIA 304. |
